Short analysis: Zelensky destroys himself and harms his people
Hate, lack of competence and drugs – (President) Zelensky dismantles himself and takes himself out of the race for good.
Peter Hanseler

Not a day goes by without the world holding its breath. On Friday, February 28, 2025, the agreement between the US and Ukraine on rare earths should have been signed, a precondition for Donald Trump who wants to return 350 billion in war aid to Ukraine to the US.
It began in a friendly manner and in typical Trump style. The plan was to exchange pleasantries in front of the press and then sign the agreement, followed by lunch.
President Trump is a deal-maker and is aware that hate speech against President Putin will not end the war – he is acting accordingly and that is a good thing. That’s how diplomacy works. If you want to achieve peace, it’s not negotiations between friends. The goal is to end the killing and achieve a relationship between neighbors who can then live side by side again without hating each other. Time will heal the wounds afterwards.
The Europeans see things differently. After three years of getting a bloody nose militarily and economically, they continue to clamour for war, even though the populations concerned are slowly realizing that they have been betrayed by the Western media. Domestically, many European countries are unstable – above all Germany, Austria, France and England. Like drunks, they continue to inflame the mood and attack the US – especially President Trump: The biggest steam talkers – such as the Swiss SP co-leader of Switzerland, who has never worked a day in his life, a real aparatchik tweets after yesterday’s meeting, “Fuck you, Mr. Trump”. The standard of language corresponds to the competence of the entire European leadership, which is managing to enrage the colonial master more and more.
Zelensky, who has probably begged a total of over 500 billion US dollars from the West to wage a war that could not be won, who has stolen wealth for himself and his cronies, is stupid enough to unleash hate speech against President Putin in front of the press during the meeting and to propagate the European model – war.
That did not go down well. Donald Trump tried several times to steer the conversation back onto a friendly footing. J.D. Vance spoke up and put Zelensky in his place for the first time.
In addition to his hatred, frustration and inexperience, Zelensky’s cocaine addiction probably also played a role. Cocaine intoxication makes one feel more self-confident than is good for them. That was obviously the case.
After 63 minutes, the spectacle was over: President Trump threw Zelensky out of the White House – without a meal: No deal.
The fiasco in its entirety
President Trump speaks to the media after the fiasco
After the scandal meeting, Trump spoke to the press and talked about Apple’s major investment, about Japan and only then mentioned Zelenski. A sign that Mr. Zelensky is no longer important to Donald Trump. Here are the most important statements by President Trump regarding Zelensky and peace:
We are looking for peace. We are not looking for somebody, that is going to sign-up a strong power and then not make peace because they feel emboldened.
I want somebody who wants peace – he does not have the cards.
He does not want a cease fire. A cease fire could take place immediately. A contract to end the war is going to take a period of time. He does not want a cease fire. All of a sudden he is a big shot because he has the US on his side. Either we end it or let him fight it out. It is not gonna be pretty. Without us, he does not win. You saw what I saw. This is not a man who wants peace.
Lindsey Graham: The Russophobe – probably the biggest turncoat in the US
Probably the biggest turncoat in the US – Senator Lindsey Graham, said in May 2023 Zelensky in Kiev:
The Russians are dying – the best money we’ve ever spent.
Senator Lindsey Graham – May 29, 2023
After the scandal, Graham said he was proud of Donald Trump and J.D. Vance and said Zelensky must either resign or change. – A death sentence for Zelensky from a former friend with whom he shared his abysmal hatred of Russians. Graham is testament for the fact that politics is probably the most unsavory business in our world.
Fox interview with (President) Zelensky after the fiasco
Finally, (President) Zelensky appears on Fox for an interview and – despite being asked several times – fails to apologize.
Conclusion
There were voices claiming that this scandal was planned and provoked by the Americans. Anything is possible, but I watched the entire “conversation” in full twice. Zelensky made several mistakes:
First, the format in the Oval Office before the signing was meant to exchange pleasantries in front of the press. Most certainly such an occasion is not meant to air disagreements among the interlocutors in front of the press and thus misuse such an occasion for propaganda, which is exactly what Zelensky did.
Secondly, in terms of content, he showed that he does not want peace, but wants to force the Americans to continue the war. He obviously does not realize that this is impossible without the US. The Europeans have no financial or military means to wage such a battle. All the Europeans can do is blather.
Third, in the Fox interview after the fiasco, he would have had the opportunity to sprinkle ashes on his head and could have salvaged what could have been salvaged. He didn’t do that.
The chances that (President) Zelensky will play a role in negotiations with the US after this fiasco are minimal. Donald Trump will reach an agreement with Vladimir Putin – probably without Europe and without Zelensky.
Zelensky, who has nota bene ruled without a legal basis since May 2024, will not survive politically and I see his life in danger, with the greatest danger probably coming from within, because he no longer has popular support and this fiasco could indeed cost him his head – at home.
